Melissa & George – Pre-Wedding Shoot….

As part of all my wedding packages, I arrange a pre-wedding shoot, preferably at your wedding venue. This is beneficial to both myself and you, the Bride & Groom. For myself, it gives me an opportunity to look around your venue (or venues), meet you both again and allows me to kick-start the creative part of my mind, ready for your wedding day. For you, it gives you the opportunity to discuss any particular locations or photo requests that you may have and to get familiar with being in front of the camera. I can also give a few hints and tips on looking natural and comfortable when having your photo taken. This shoot is relaxed and informal, and you also receive a complimentary disc containing images from the shoot.

This week, I meet with Melissa & George at their chosen reception venue, the picturesque Square & Compass in Somerset. In true british style, the rain was already falling but this did not dampen the opportunities for a photo session. This gorgeous converted barn provides a stunning location for a wedding with a few more photo opportunities a very short walk along the road.

‘Engagement’ sessions such as this, are about capturing the relationship and emotion between the couple. Melissa & George were fantastic at relaxing in each other’s company allowing for beautiful photos which show the wonderful connection between the two of them.

This path will provide a few moments of privacy on their wedding day, although of course I will still be lingering in the background to capture the moment!

I can’t wait to photograph Melissa’s & George’s wedding in a couple of months – The Square & Compass will be transformed in to a lush green haven full of the bride’s and groom’s family and friends, all there to celebrate the beginning of Mel’s & George’s marriage.
